Gemini 3 Changes the Way We Build for Business.
Stop "Prompting." Start Directing. (DEEP REASONING with GEMINI3)
Welcome to the era of “Deep Reasoning” and Intent.
On the day Google released Gemini 3, I did what any Innovator in the Googlesphere would: I tried to break it. There were so many mic drops that I had my work cut out for me, this week has been fantastic as we celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of AI!
Deep Reasoning:
The perfect way to ring in the 3rd Anniversary of Generative AI era.
Back to the testing…I didn’t want to write code or summarize an email. I wanted to test its “Deep Reasoning.” I set up a complex scenario: A failing company, a high-stakes board meeting, and three very distinct personalities from the TV show Suits fighting over the company’s future. I assigned myself the role of Chairman and asked the AI to simulate the debate.
What happened next wasn’t just “good writing”, it was validation of a philosophy I have held for years.
The Failure That Proved the Point
In the first iteration, the AI generated a brilliant script. The banter was snappy, the logic was sound, and the characters were spot on. But it made one glaring error: It completely ignored me.
I was the Chairman/CEO, yet I had zero lines. The board made the decision without me.
In the old world of AI, I would have assumed this was a “hallucination.” But upon closer inspection, I realized it was a triumph of reasoning. I had asked Gemini3 to adopt the persona of “Jessica Pearson”, a character defined by power and control. Gemini reasoned: If Jessica Pearson is in the room, she leads the room. (which she does). The model’s understanding of the character’s psychology overpowered my flimsy request to include me.
It wasn’t a glitch. It was a simulation. And when I corrected it by asserting my authority as Chairman, the entire emotional dynamic of the room shifted! Gemini understood that “Jessica“ yielded the floor and became accountable, “Arrogant Harvey Specter” acts differently when the company is failing than when he’s winning. It moved from Data Retrieval to Contextual Understanding.
Yes, Star Trek is STILL the Standard
If you know me, you know I have always “thrown up” on the concept of Prompt Engineering. The idea that we need to learn “Robot Speak” to get work done has always felt backward to me. Why am I becoming programmatic, isn’t that the opposite of what we want?
I view technology through the lens of Star Trek. When Dr. Crusher walks up to the Replicator, she doesn’t say: » “Computer, generate a white ceramic cup on a fitting saucer, filled with golden brown liquid roasted to a darkened hue, water temperature 200 degrees, milk foam density 30% with steam...”
She just says: “Computer, hot coffee”
She focuses on the Intent, her desire, not the Instructions to prepare it, not the process to generate it. The computer understands the context, the vibe, and the desired outcome without needing a paragraph of technical specs. And the results…
For years, I have been forcing AI to simulate this experience—pushing against the limitations of the tech to get natural results. With Gemini 3, the technology has finally caught up to that vision.🎉🏆
Why This Matters for Your Business
You might be thinking, “That’s fun, NiKole, but I don’t need a TV script. I need to run my business.”
Here is why this matters: We are exiting the era of prompting, you can go back to normal nomenclature to automate your business.
Instead of (old way) ““Act as a Senior Project Manager with 10 years of experience in Agile methodologies. Write a status update email to the Executive Stakeholders regarding Project Skyline. Constraints: Do not use the words ‘late,’ ‘delayed,’ or ‘behind….’”
New way: Write a status email telling the client we missed the deadline. Vibe: ‘It’s not late; it’s vintage.’ Make it sound like we delayed the launch on purpose to ensure ‘uncompromising excellence.’ Gaslight them gently into thanking me for the delay.”
At Technikole Consulting, we specialize in Ideation, Implementation, and Automation. The biggest barrier to digital transformation has always been the friction of learning the tools. Instead of “I’m not X” thinking you frame it from your position “I AM Y and I need...”
With this new “Deep Reasoning” capability, we can finally build Simulators for your business that work on intent:
Ideation: We can program an AI “Board of Directors” specific to your industry to stress-test your ideas before you spend a dime.
Implementation: We can build internal tools that understand the nuance of your company culture—an AI that knows the difference between a “formal report” and a “quick update” without you having to explain it every time.
Automation: We can move from rigid checklists to fluid, intent-based workflows that actually feel natural.

The “Director-Level” Future
We are entering a phase where you don’t need to be a Coder to succeed (just ask our vibe coders); you need to be a Creative Director (hello creator economy!). You need to know who you need in the room (even if they are virtual) and how they should behave.
The technology has finally caught up to the way humans actually communicate. If you are tired of “prompting” and ready to start directing, let’s talk.
🔒 PAID SUBSCRIBER BONUS
I didn’t just tell you about the “Board Meeting” I documented it.
I have published the full, unedited transcript of the session as a Paid Subscriber Bonus.
Inside, you will see:
Round 1 - The Failure: Watch “Jessica Pearson” completely ignore me because my prompt wasn’t authoritative enough.
Round 2 - The Pivot: See the exact moment I flipped the switched from “Prompter” to “Director” and how the AI’s tone instantly shifted from arrogant to obedient.
The Banter: Read the full script where Suits characters debate “Designer Dog Bowls” vs. “Pizza Flavored Coffee” before realizing they need Technikole Consulting.
It is a masterclass in Deep Reasoning (and it’s also hilarious).
